• I grew up in rural North Carolina, tracking red clay through the house as a kid and shaping fairies out of mud found in creek-beds. I reconnected to digging my feet in the dirt post-grad, with a job taking care of native plant sanctuaries in San Diego. I worked through the changing of the seasons in Southern California and remembered how deeply nature inspires art. I now continue my work as a conservationist, advocate and educator in San Diego. I focus on protecting habitats and the wildlife that call them home. My pieces reflect the beauty of the chapparal, the coast, the marsh and all the habitats I get the opportunity to visit.

During my time at my community studio, I learned as much as possible and received wonderful mentorship and kindness from so many people. I met a wonderful human, Arianna Keir (Olla Ceramics) and we bonded over our shared love of geology and native plants. As the local wild clay expert, I was able to learn how to harvest and process my own wild pigments from Ari, and am forever grateful to be inspired and supported by not only her, but all of the fellow potters I have found along the way.
